Last week, fall break for most school districts led families to pack the beaches, mountains and of course, Dollywood, where guests were parking at Splash Country, but for Maggie Lamb, it turned into a week of exploring some historical sites in East Tennessee.

Maggie’s mom, April, said, “Maggie was excited to study about Fort Loudoun in school and then actually go to Fort Loudoun. We also visited the Sequoyah Museum. She manned every cannon there and enjoyed the Cherokee summer house, but was not so impressed by the pelts in the winter home.”
April wondered how they handled this time of the year: half in the summer house and half in the winter house? (This is April’s former journalist nature kicking in.)
