Update: ‘Lyle, Lyle the Crocodile’ showing at New Harvest Park

Susan EspirituNorth Knoxville, Our Town Neighbors

Location changed to New Harvest Park on Washington Pike.

If you read the Lyle, Lyle, the Crocodile books as a kid or to your own kids, then you might have seen the movie adaptation. The Primm family moves to New York City and their young son, Josh, struggles to adapt to his new school and friends. All of those issues change when he discovers Lyle, a singing crocodile who loves to bathe, eat caviar and listen to great music.

Josh and Lyle become best friends, but when an evil neighbor, Mr. Grumps, threatens to expose Lyle’s existence, the Primms must band together to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places. There are great lessons taught in the books and the movie.

Fill your car with family, friends, popcorn, candy and drinks when you head out to Knox County Parks & Rec’s free Sunset Cinema at New Harvest Park, Directions Map on Saturday, August 12, from 8-11 p.m.
