Linda Sullivan did a marathon of author events with Sarah Adams in Nashville and Patti Callahan at East Tennessee History Center.

Linda and her daughter Grace went to Nashville last Monday for the signing by Sarah Adams of her book 2, The Rule Book. Linda remembers the two listening to Adam’s The Cheat Sheet on the way home from the beach three years ago. She says, “Loved it! In fact, Grace has listened to the audiobook four more times & loves the main character, Bree!”

Linda describes Sarah Adams as a darling! Adams was born and raised in Nashville, dreaming to be a writer since she was a little girl but wrote her first novel when her own little girls were napping.

To make the evening more spectacular, as the two were getting their picture made with Adams, the author looked at Grace and said, “I didn’t want to embarrass you in front of the audience, but you are the Bree in my head. You look just like her.”

As Linda said, can you imagine Grace’s response. Linda says that sometimes you meet someone you admire and they are even better than you imagined! Sarah Adams was that for Linda and Grace!

Later in the week brought Linda and some friends to the East Tennessee History Center where Patti Callahan was signing her book, The Secret Book of Flora Lea.

Linda says Patti Callahan Henry is amazing as she hung on every word of her speaking about the importance of story.

Another attendee, Gail Giffin, said she loved the way the author signed her book “The magic of story.” I love that too, because I know everyone has a magical story to be shared.

A full-time author, mother of three and grandmother of two, Henry lives in Alabama with her husband, Pat Henry.
