Lewis replaces Mackay at Chilhowee

SMG Knoxville has named Misti Lewis director of Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center. She replaces Greg Mackay who resigned Nov. 3.

Lewis served for the past year as accounting manager for the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum. SMG Knoxville manages the Knoxville Convention Center, the civic auditorium and Chilhowee Park under contract with the city of Knoxville.

A native of Sylva, N. C., Lewis earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Carolina University and an MBA from South University in Savannah, Georgia.

She and her fiancé, Rusty Satterfield, reside in the Seymour area with their daughter, Morgan. The couple are involved in several community events that promote and provide fishing experiences to children and other individuals with disabilities.

Prior to joining SMG Knoxville, Lewis held several positions at the Swain County Health Department in Bryson City, N. C., including operations director, finance director and emergency preparedness coordinator.

Chilhowee Park offers 80 acres of outdoor sites, multipurpose indoor venue spaces and ample parking.
