It’s scheduled – the event of spring.

Legacy Parks Foundation has scheduled a ribbon-cutting for Collier Preserve, located at 316 W. Emory Road adjacent to Powell Branch Library, at 10 a.m. Friday, March 26. Everyone is welcomed.

If you’ve not been yet, please come. Celebrate this 12-acre park that borders Beaver Creek. Celebrate the work of volunteers to clear the land. Learn of plans for stormwater run-off remediation, collaboration with Knox County libraries, and gaining certification as an arboretum.

And maybe bring a cookie for Carol Evans, executive director of Legacy Parks Foundation, who has made this happen.
