Knoxville’s music man has died

Jason Cooper, owner of Rush’s Music, has died at age 46. The Knoxville Police Department has an ongoing investigation into the cause of death, but no charges have been filed.

A graduate of Clinton High School, Mr. Cooper played in the University of Tennessee’s Pride of the Southland Marching Band. According to his obituary, he was the heart and soul of Rush’s Music for 19 years. His full obituary is here.

No services are scheduled. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory is serving the Cooper Family.
