Join the Knoxville Community Band on Sunday, December 3, 2023, 3 p.m. at Bijou Theatre for its annual free Christmas concert. Knoxville Community Band Christmas Concert.
The Knoxville Community Band gives musicians of all experience levels the opportunity to perform in various concerts. The band meets in the band room at Northwest Middle School at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night.
It is directed by Larry Hicks, retired band director of Heritage High School in Maryville. Assistant director, Joel Tillman, is currently an adjunct professor of trumpet and instrumental studies at Carson-Newman University. Mike Layland will join as guest conductor for the Christmas concert.
