I am back to share the second week of this adventure of a lifetime in Thailand with the Childers family. If you missed the first week, catch up here.
The second week continued in Phuket, Thailand, with torrential rain that canceled the planned boat excursion. Instead, the group explored the Old Town Phuket where Big Buddha towers over the city to watch over and protect. The group encountered a few monkeys and when the rain eased, they got to enjoy their final day on Kata beach in Phuket.
Now on day nine of this adventure, the group left Phuket and headed to the beautiful island of Koh Samui where they stayed at the beach all day. Cameron snorkeled the coral reefs all day while Angela read and Mike got a massage.

The following day increased the activity level for our adventurers, with a speed boat tour to Ang Thong National Marine Park which consists of 42 different islands. They stopped to snorkel and hike to the overlook and then kayaked in the Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, ate lunch and had dinner on the beach.

- Monkey Island (one of 42 islands)
- Dinner on beach
On day eleven, the group went to a different beach in Koh Samui, saw a real mummified monk, shopped and did some sightseeing of course, added in jet skiing, and saw another fire show.

With a late checkout on day 12 before they flew back to Bangkok, the trio hung out at the pool and beach.
Once back in Bangkok they enjoyed a long tail boat ride down a canal to Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen temple and a visit to the golden Buddha statue that is over 300-feet tall.
The boat ride took them to a place called the Artist House where they shopped and crafted followed by dinner, more shopping, and a speedy Tuk Tuk ride back to pack up for the trip home.

Angela reflects on the two weeks, “So happy we got to experience the trip of a lifetime with our son. He loves to travel as much as we do. He is always up for anything.” She added how he found a new wardrobe from elephant pants, shorts and shirts so that his suitcase was filled to the brim with all that he purchased.
