Knox the Fox did not make this trip to Waco, but Penny Judge and friends did — and they brought back the photos, video, and firsthand experience to share with KnoxTNToday readers.
Their destination was Magnolia Market at the Silos, the Waco property associated with Chip and Joanna Gaines and a place that has grown into much more than a home-decor store. The grounds at 601 Webster Ave. bring together shopping, food, gardens, gathering spaces, and the two towering silos that have become a Waco landmark and yes, plenty of Magnolias. 
The first impression is the scale of the place. Magnolia says the Silos property has grown from the original market into nearly a full city block of places to shop, eat and explore. Visitors can browse Magnolia Market and Magnolia Home along with smaller boutique-style shops, then stop for coffee, baked goods or food from the grounds.
For Penny and her friends, the visit was as much about taking in the atmosphere as shopping. Their photos show the familiar silos, the carefully designed grounds and the small details that make the property feel more like a destination than a retail stop.
One of the interesting surprises is the property’s connection to Waco baseball history. The Silos grounds once included Katy Park, where minor league baseball was played from 1905 to 1956. Magnolia later created Katy Ballpark, a Wiffle ball field that pays tribute to that history.
That made a baseball photo a natural part of Penny’s visit.

The Silos also offer plenty of places simply to slow down. Visitors can walk through the garden, pause inside the restored Old Church, relax on the lawn or browse the shops. Silos Baking Co., Magnolia Press and food trucks provide reasons to linger between stops.
Even the vehicles and signs around the property become part of the Magnolia look — polished, nostalgic and ready for a photograph.

Penny and her friends also recorded video as they explored, giving KnoxTNToday readers a chance to see more of the grounds than a single photograph can capture.
Magnolia Market at the Silos is open Monday through Saturday, with most Silos shops and grounds currently operating from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; hours can vary for holidays and special events. The destination is closed on Sundays except for certain special weekends.
