  • Canceled: Kids Fish Free Day will be rescheduled until next year because of projected storms on Saturday, June 8. The event is sponsored in Norris by the Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
  • Rescheduled: Everly Brothers historic marker unveiling, 4635 Kingston Pike at Forest Park Boulevard, has been reset to 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 17.
  • Mayor Madeline Rogero will attend the “door opening” ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 8, to commemorate reconstruction of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Kingston Pike, following a fire on April 12, 2015.
  • Lions District 12-N Charities Inc. will host a car show and reverse raffle from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in Fountain City Park. Proceeds will benefit the district’s Vision Van. Activities include a motorcycle ride, car cruise-in, entertainment, guide dog demonstrations, games, food and more. Reverse raffle tickets are $10 with the drawing at 3:30 p.m. and payouts of $2,000, $1,000 and $500. Info: 865-556-9091.
