Kincannon proposes $4.1 million for pandemic response

Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon released her first budget proposal Friday via video. The budget calls for no change in the city’s property tax rate and includes more than $4.1 million to support the community’s response to the pandemic, especially in terms of emergency housing.

The budget must be approved by Knoxville City Council on two readings.
