Keeping the doctor away

Who doesn’t love a nice ripe apple? If you do, then Carvers Orchard near Cosby is the place when the fall harvest comes in. The quantity and assortment of apples seems nearly endless. While there, I photographed several apple varieties plus rows of pumpkins, trays of decorative squash and more.

This image as shot seemed a little dull, so I processed with a painterly effect and saturated the colors. Excessive post processing is not my normal style, but sometimes it is fun to see what can be done.

December 3 is the First Friday Art Walk in Knoxville. Add the annual Christmas parade and it is sure to be a fun evening downtown. Robin and I will be in our studio from 1-8 p.m. Please stop in to visit and view our work. Also try to support Knoxville artists as you do your holiday shopping.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay
