Knoxville Children’s Theatre, in partnership with the Clayton Foundation, is performing a live musical production of Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark, September 13-29: Thursdays and Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 1 and 5 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
This adaptation of Mary Pope Osborne’s beloved story is being directed by guest director Ethan Graham Roeder and will transport audiences on a thrilling journey back in time, filled with adventure and wonder.
The play is performed by 19 talented young actors ages 8 to 14. The cast includes KCT veterans Ida Roberson and Desmond Gondo playing Annie and Jack. Susan will be played by Chloe Beeler and Henry will be played by Ginny Field. Natty will be played by Maggie Ingle and Joan will be played by Grace Templeton. They will be joined by KCT veterans Marion Field, Maggie Lamb, Ella Olinzock, Beckham Read, Amy Rogers, Afton Schuh, Macon Sloan, Evelyn Strangward and Jacey Weaver.
Making their KCT debuts in this production are RJ Bumpus, Harper Monday, Annabelle Nance and Jackson Weaver.
The show is designed by 13 student designers ages 9 to 16. KCT veteran Taylor Brusseau provides the scenic design with assistance from Lucille Childers, James Carpenter, Tina Sloan and Ben Ward. Jenna Blumberg will provide the lighting design. Addison White will provide the costume design with assistance from Kami Kamavas, Luna Chavez and Daisy Fritts.The props masters are Taylor Tucker, Hartley Narron and Hogan Honeycutt. The play is stage managed by Michelle Phelps with assistance from Allison Loveday.
