The Karns Senior Center is a busy place every day according to Robyn Trostle, coordinator for the center. She says exercise, crafts, card games and other social activities for engaging seniors is at the core of their mission.
Specially planned events are the big attractions like last week’s Ice Cream Social. It was the second year for the Ice Cream Social with over 100 people in attendance.

The participants not only enjoyed the happiness that eating ice cream brings, they also enjoyed the sounds of two musical groups who played bluegrass, gospel and country tunes through the afternoon.
The center’s next big event is the annual Craft Fair on Friday, September 29, 2023, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. There will be a variety of items to entice the shoppers.
