David A. Powers Sr., 75, of the Karns community, died Sept. 29. He was the longtime owner/operator of Karns Dry Cleaners. Mr. Powers graduated from Rule High School in the class of 1962 and gained a love of woodworking, according to his obituary. At the dry cleaners, he often would tailor pants or prom dresses for his customers. He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Powers Hurley; son and daughter-in-law, David and Anna Powers of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and others.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday Oct. 6, at Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel.
