Powell Business and Professional Association presented its 2023 scholarships to two graduating students from Powell High School: Kaitlyn Wilson and Emmaline Baker. Each student received $1,500 towards their college pursuit.

The association presents scholarships annually to recipients who submit applications to the education committee, chaired by Patti Bounds. The committee reviews the applications during a blind evaluation process, choosing the top two candidates for the annual scholarships.

Jeff Bagwell, president of the PBPA, is proud of the Powell community for contributing to the future of its young people, and welcomes more businesses to partner with the association so the scholarship fund can increase for future Powell High School graduates.

Potential partners can reach Bagwell at 865-765-6493 or Powell Business and Professional Association
