Bass-baritone vocalist Daniel Johnson-Webb will join Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, 6321 Chapman Highway, for the morning worship service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

Johnson-Webb will be accompanied on piano by another guest, Alex van Duuren, trombone professor at the University of Tennessee.

Johnson-Webb has appeared in more than 300 performances on Broadway and is an extensive operatic performer, appearing in various roles with opera groups throughout the country. He has performed as a soloist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, St. Louis Symphony and the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, most recently as the baritone soloist in Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”

He frequently presents programs throughout Knoxville in churches, local community centers and even on some backyard porches, where he is slowly mastering the art of accompanying himself on the accordion.
