Jim Atchley is First Horizon Knoxville market president

Jim Atchley is the new Knoxville market president for First Horizon Bank, succeeding Dave Miller, who has been named chief operating officer of regional banking with enterprise-wide responsibilities.

Atchley will report to Richard Shaffer who was recently named regional president for the East Region.

“Jim has over 30 years of experience with First Horizon, has managed various groups within the organization and currently leads the private client and trust groups for all East Tennessee,” said Shaffer. “His broad and diverse experience makes him an excellent choice for this position.”

A native of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Atchley earned both a bachelor’s degree and a MBA at the University of Tennessee. He currently serves on the board of Great Smoky Mountain Council Boy Scouts of America, The Salvation Army and Ft. Sanders Foundation. Previous board affiliations include Second Harvest Food Bank, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tennessee Valley and East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Committee for the Future.
