Diane Hunter has joined Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel and Crematory as manager.

Managing partner Eric Botts said, “We’re bringing on Diane to help manage our business because her years of experience in caring for families in our community make her a tremendous asset for Gentry Griffey.”

Hunter previously was the facility funeral director/manager at Woodhaven Funeral Home in Claxton and was facility funeral director/manager of Dogwood Cremation in Powell. She is a nationally-certified funeral service practitioner and Tennessee-licensed funeral director, embalmer and pre-need insurance producer. She received her mortuary science degree from Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, Georgia.

Diane feels that God called her into the funeral ministry to assist and protect grieving families during a time that can be the most difficult they may ever have to face, according to a press release. She knows from dealing with loss in her own life that the funeral home experience is very important. She understands that every family is unique and is committed to ensure every family is treated with respect. She believes the stress of losing a loved one alone can be unbearable and a funeral director should aid in minimizing the stress as much as possible.
