East Tennessee Children’s Hospital celebrated 40 years of Camp Eagle’s Nest, a week-long camp of fun and friendship for patients from the hematology/oncology clinic.

Campers enjoyed waterfall hikes, archery, paintball and climbing among many more activities for the week.

Friend Hattie Halter, participated in Camp Eagle’s Nest for her first time, since you have to be 6-years-old to attend. She got to see two of her favorite nurses who took care of her during her treatments, Ryan Hairell and Ashley Horton. Hattie says her favorite part was the swimming and sleeping in the top bunk of her cabin!

Thanks to the financial and in-kind contributions, the camp was free for patients. To support camps like Camp Eagle’s Nest, visit Donate ETCH
