Gresham Middle School has capitalized on three grants to support student instruction outside the regular curriculum to expand the horizons of this unique age group.

Gresham’s band teacher, Grace Alward, won $100,000 worth of instruments from Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation to be arriving soon, much to the excitement of her current and future students.

STEM teacher Vincent Dave won a grant for a hydroponic farm and principal Melissa Glover says the school is equally pumped about getting started with that project as well!

A third grant was won by the school to take the entire eighth grade to Dollywood as part of a College/Career exposure trip!

KnoxTNToday will follow the fulfillment of all three of these exciting opportunities for the youth of Fountain City!
