We celebrate July 4 once a year, but it is important to recognize and honor the daily role our troops play in protecting and defending our nation’s freedom. The Girl Scouts of America continually recognize the sacrifices of our military and show support with the signature Girl Scout “gift from home.”
The Girl Scouts of America partners with a fellow non-profit organization, Friends Of The Troops, to support our military by sending our troops care packages. They have sent countless cases of Girl Scout cookies to those overseas so they can have a little taste of home.
The Friends of the Troops representative says of the partnership with the Girl Scouts, “We are honored to partner with you all in supporting our troops. The cookie care packages are a highlight of their deployments each year. We also get them into the hands of troops serving stateside who are rarely acknowledged for their service and to veterans!”
