Olive, the ocelot, recently visited with CEO of Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians Lynne Fugate. The two discussed Girl Scouting and their favorite fall product treats.

Olive is the mascot of the Fall Product program. The ocelot was named Olive by the girls in the council who voted the name from four names they were given as choices.

Olive will go home with the girl who is the top seller in the council at the close of the Fall Product Program which runs from September 22 – October 25, 2023.

Here is a little background on the Fall Product Program.

For the Fall Product Program this season, Girl Scouts USA is collaborating with Bark to provide a Girl Scout BarkBox. Each box will contain a custom Pose & Play Beret dog toy as well as 1 canister of Berry Trio’s dog treats. The Girl Scout BarkBox will be sold exclusively online by girls and shipped directly to consumers. GSCSA in turn will partner with Young-Williams and collect donated Bark Boxes to give to its shelter dogs.

In addition to the BarkBox, there will be nuts, magazines, candy, and Tervis tumblers as a purchase option. Tervis provides a wide selection of premium insulated tumblers and water bottles from your favorite MLB, NFL and collegiate sports teams, etc.

The goal of this program and the cookie program is to help girls learn five life skills: goal setting, money management, decision making, business ethics and people skills.

You must know a Girl Scout and have her individual digital link to order products at her online store, so find your favorite girl scout before the program ends.
