Girl Scout Cookies are coming

Girl Scouts will be selling at locations near you soon

Cookie season has begun in the Girl Scout 46-county footprint. If you pre-ordered cookies from a Girl Scout, they should have them in their hands over the next week and deliver them to you. The public cookie booth sales will begin February 16 and go through March 17 at hundreds of locations across the area. The best way to find a booth is to visit the cookie finder at iwantcookies.org and type in your zip code.

If you’ve sworn off sugar or cannot eat sweets, you are encouraged to still support our Girl Scout entrepreneurs by purchasing cookies for Operation Appreciation. These cookies will be donated to overseas military troops, first responders and other local organizations. The military troops especially love getting a box of Girl Scout cookies, it’s a little taste of home for them and they are very appreciative.

We especially like to emphasize the skills that girls learn from selling cookies – money management, problem solving, setting up a business, along with gaining courage and confidence.

All of us have a story and I want to tell yours! Send them to susan@knoxtntoday.com
