Gear up for spring with Norris wildflowers

Norris Dam State Park is hosting a Spring Wildflower Program at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the park’s indoor amphitheater at 125 Village Green Circle, Rocky Top, Tennessee, past the park swimming pool. The event is free, but registration is required. The program features Dr. Larry Pounds, botanical consultant for TVA and ORNL.  To register or for more information go here or call 865-425-4500.

Guided Wildflower Hikes are available at Norris Dam State Park in Norris, Tennessee, beginning Saturday, March 26. This program will acquaint participants with the identification, natural history and folklore of over 30 different kinds of spring wildflowers. River Bluff Trail hikes start at 10 a.m. The hike is three miles along the Clinch River. For more information or to register go here or call 865-425-4500.
