This much-used tubular livestock gate has seen a lot of visitors. Looking like a regular farm gate, it is beat up, rusted and still bears some original red paint. Doing its job off Hyatt Lane in Cades Cove it is hard to tell just what it keeps in or out?
What is clear is that it has one of the most beautiful views in the national park. With Gregory Bald and the ridgeline mountain peaks as the backdrop, it was a viewpoint I could not resist.
