The bluebird houses have been dutifully and judiciously placed. I don’t know yet if I’ll have bluebirds or any birds using them. But I can say a variety (bluebirds, Carolina wrens and chickadees, etc.) are checking out the prime real estate. This female downy woodpecker gave it good drumming before taking a tour of the interior. Don’t know if she’s come back for a second look, but after she caught sight of me, off she flew.
