The date for the 2021 edition of the annual Free Flu Shot Saturday has changed again – now it’s back to its original date of Sept. 25, says Dr. Charlie Barnett, who coordinates the medical and vaccine sides of this community event.
Knoxville’s six Rotary clubs staff the sites of the vaccinations held at six area schools.
Barnett says the date was shifted from Sept. 25 to Oct. 2 because of scheduling conflicts. Then the organizers discovered that the University of Tennessee’s spring break is that week. “And we have to have the UT Nursing School students to help with this event,” he said.
