Fountain City Lions Club will offer free eye exams for children from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in the Lions Club Building at Fountain City Park.
The Lions Club’s August concert is at the park from 7-9 p.m. Friday as well. The free concert is sponsored by Michele McCrary Carringer. Bring chairs or blankets.
Buffalo Fiasco will perform. The bluegrass band is based in Knoxville. It plays traditional tunes with a modern flair, according to its website. The band formed in 2016 after fiddler Evie Andrus recorded a solo project, Barefoot Sanctuary.
