Finding myself in the lobby of a downtown hotel, I snapped a photo. The sunlight on decidedly orange wing back chairs complementing the velvet blue slipper chair was the inspiration for this painting. The cozy and rich atmosphere invites one to take pause, survey the scene and have a seat. Invite a friend to a game of chess. Take it all in.
