The U.S. nursing shortage is a growing crisis driven by an aging population, high retirement rates, and educational bottlenecks. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects over 190,000 open registered nurse (RN) positions annually, with some estimates warning of a shortfall of over 500,000 nurses nationwide by 2030
