First Horizon Bank has added a familiar face — and four paws — to its leadership team.

Tennessee’s beloved bluetick coonhound mascot, Smokey, has been named First Horizon Bank’s new CFO — “Chief Fan Officer.”

First Horizon is celebrating Smokey’s unique appointment throughout the Tennessee football season with special activities at Vol Village during home games, giving Vol fans of all ages a chance to join the fun.

To mark Smokey’s debut in his new executive role, First Horizon will host a playful “press conference” at Vol Village throughout the season. Fans will have an opportunity to participate, ask questions and take photos with Tennessee’s famous mascot as he proudly sports his new CFO title.

First Horizon Bank associates also will be on hand distributing exclusive posters signed by Smokey, along with other giveaways. Clients, Tennessee fans and visitors to Vol Village can stop by to pick up the keepsakes and take part in the activities.

The promotion combines two things with strong Tennessee ties — First Horizon’s commitment to community engagement and the enthusiasm surrounding University of Tennessee athletics.

Smokey has long been one of the most recognizable symbols of Tennessee athletics, and his newest title gives Vol fans another reason to seek him out on football Saturdays.

Fans attending Tennessee home games are invited to visit Vol Village throughout the season, meet First Horizon associates, participate in Smokey’s “press conference,” collect giveaways and celebrate the bank’s newest CFO.

For this CFO, however, quarterly reports may take a back seat to cheering on the Vols.
