Farragut High to name stadium in honor of Eddie Courtney on Friday

On Friday, September 27, Farragut High School will officially name their football stadium the Eddie Courtney Stadium prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff of the Farragut Admirals vs Bearden Bulldogs football game.

The official ceremony will take place at approximately 6:50 p.m. in honor of Coach Courtney who retired last spring after 28 seasons as the head football coach at Farragut which was 43 total seasons with the Admirals including 15 as an assistant coach. Coach Courtney won 204 total games as Farragut’s head coach and led the Admirals to the 2016 Class 5A State Championship. He is a member of the Tennessee Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame.
