For this Thanksgiving Day, I bring a buffet of images from the Smokies taken this fall. We had such a lovely fall season with both the weather and the spectacular colors. This selection includes a broad vista of the sinking sun taken from the East Foothills Parkway.
I singled out a bouquet of red leaves, some Turkey Tail Mushrooms and a bright red leaf that “just happened” to be floating past the brook salamander in the background. Finally, a beautiful tree on the side of the road that caught my attention.

My Attention TreeThe fall colors are missed already, but now I look forward to some good winter photography with our occasional snows, some abstract ice images and maybe some plant life decorated with a rim of frost.
