Chris Davis, administrator of elections, is moving the main office across the hall to 300 Main Street, Room 229, in the old courthouse. Also, the election commission will open a satellite office in the former Frank Strang Senior Center at 109 Lovell Heights Road. Both offices will be full service for the public and candidates/elected officials, including: picking up/returning qualifying petitions, registering to vote, changing name and/or address on voter registration record, requesting voter records or voter history disk, or seeking assistance/answering questions on restoration of voting rights. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F. The number is 865-215-2480.

Fountain City BPA will resume in-person meetings at noon Wednesday, April 14, at Beaver Brook Country Club. Lunch is $14 and the speaker will be Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. The club meets each second Wednesday.
