While on a work trip last week, I made a quick U turn in Deep Gap, NC.
Keeping an open mind, I was trying to land a suitable subject for painting. My head was in the clouds, but eyes were scanning the countryside. Seeing these honeybee boxes in the sunshine, intrigued me to stop. With the owner’s permission, I was left with musings and a buzz in the air.
De la Cruz farm is a faith forward equine therapy center providing educational endeavors and serving the community. Keeping animals and bees proves to be great ambassadors to their pursuits. A honey store, operating on the honor system, was a hive of activity. Try the sourwood!
What a sweet gig for me. I learned a little, painted a little and took home a few honey items to savor for weeks to come. The painting found a home-sweet-home in NC,
