All Knox County Government offices – including the Knox County Health Department – will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Normal operations will resume Tuesday, Dec. 27.
The Festival of Lights at The Cove at Concord Park will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 24, and Sunday, Dec. 25, but reopen for traffic on Monday, Dec. 26 and stay open through Dec. 31.
Knox County Public Library will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 26, then open on regular schedule Tuesday, Dec. 27.
Knox County’s Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23, and Saturday, Dec. 24. As centers are not open on Sundays, long lines and significant wait times are expected when centers open on Monday, Dec. 26. If possible, center users are urged to postpone regular waste trips until Tuesday, Dec. 27, or Wednesday, Dec. 28.
