Sometimes the best East Tennessee views aren’t found at an overlook or at the end of a hiking trail. They show up when we’re doing something as ordinary as driving home.
This week’s Community Snapshot came from one of those moments, shared by Cindy from her home drive in rural East Tennessee.
She says, “I was on my way home when the view caught my attention — the kind of scene we probably pass more often than we realize. Fortunately, this time I stopped long enough to appreciate it and take a picture.”
That’s one reason I wanted to start Community Snapshot. We live in a part of the country where something beautiful can be waiting around an ordinary bend in the road. It may be a mountain in the distance, an old barn in a field, sunlight breaking through the clouds, or a sunset that makes you pull over for just a minute.
This week’s picture inspired next week’s challenge, giving us another chance to invite you to show us East Tennessee through your eyes.
