As Realty Executives Associates continues to grow, it seeks individual agents and groups of agents who are compatible with its core values.
The Collins Group in Seymour is one such group.

Lisa Collins serves as principal broker and chief operating officer of the Collins Group. Her husband, Jacob, is chief executive officer, and the couple co-own the agency – now called Realty Executives Smoky Mountains.
Lisa credits Pat McGill, chief operating officer of REA and principal broker at the Maryville office, as a mentor. Lisa values that friendship and wants to mentor younger agents herself – either to stay as members of Realty Executives Smoky Mountains or to become independent agents.
“It’s about people growing with other people,” she says. “Real estate done right is more about collaboration than competition.”
Lisa said their former brokers helped her and Jacob get launched in the business and she expects to grow even more as a powered brand with REA. The powered brand agencies are independently owned, but affiliate with REA for regional/ national collaboration, technical expertise, brokerage support and brand recognition.
Lisa Collins loves Seymour, Tennessee. It’s where she grew up and attended school. (She also holds a degree from Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.) Seymour extends into Sevier, Blount and Knox counties. And it’s a “hop, skip and jump” from the Smokies. In fact, the agency website is sellinthesmokies.com. Now, don’t put a “g” in that name. Meet this young power couple:
Lisa joined the U.S. Navy out of high school. “I turned 19 in boot camp,” she says. Jacob and Lisa met during one of their deployments and have been building a life and business together ever since. Lisa decided to leave the military and become a military spouse while Jacob still served on active duty. Jacob deployed when their daughter was only 1-1/2 years-old.
During his deployment, Lisa completed her college degree. After Jacob’s return home, they decided to start a new chapter and pursued real estate. They also decided to relocate to Seymour. Now their daughter is 8 and Lisa says, “she could show a house.” Their son is 4 and will start kindergarten in the fall.
