Anticipate three closures of the Gay Street Bridge this month and into November: Twice to accommodate one-day special events, followed by a longer-term closure for infrastructure upgrades, per a city press release.
Dinner on the Bridge: Sunday, Oct. 15, 6 a.m. until midnight. The event benefits the Arts & Heritage fund of the Arts & Culture Alliance.
Open Streets Knoxville: Sunday, Oct. 29, 2-6 p.m., free event hosted by Bike Walk Knoxville. It’s the fifth open streets event, the first for South Knoxville. Also closed to motorized vehicles –Council Place and Sevier Avenue.
Water line installation: Monday, Oct. 30, for about a month. There will be two-lane traffic on Sevier Avenue while Council Place is closed.
