The city of Knoxville and the Arts & Culture Alliance will host a Block Party during First Friday, featuring live music by Nicholas Horner, DJ Morrison and Maggie Tharp, as well as artist booths/vendors by nearly 30 local artists.

The Emporium celebrates the opening of five new exhibitions, detailed here.

The Block Party on the 100 Block of Gay Street – from 5 p.m. until dark – aims to create a lively atmosphere in conjunction with the monthly First Friday celebrations. Gay Street between Jackson Avenue and Vine Avenue will be closed to automobile traffic from 3-10 p.m. to provide open pedestrian access and help build community. All are welcomed.
