Cindy McConkey honored for pioneering roles

Cynthia Moxley pays tribute to her friend Cindy McConkey, who died last month at age 58. Youngest of six children, McConkey grew up in Powell. She was an exceptional athlete who became a sportswriter for The Knoxville Journal and later for USA Today. She retired from Scripps Networks Interactive when diagnosed with cancer and later joined Larsen Jay as marketing manager for Random Acts of Flowers. Read Moxley’s tribute here.
