Christopher Robin has new digs.

Artists Chris and Robin Rohwer simply combined their first names to capture the whimsical boy who played with Tigger, Piglet and Winnie-the-Pooh. Robin Rohwer trained as a pharmacist, while Chris retired after a 25-year career with Home Federal Bank.

Their new studio is at 418 S. Gay Street in the Phoenix Building, in space previously occupied by Prestige Cleaners. Chris says just follow the signs to the back of the building. “We are usually open Wednesday and Thursday, 1-5; Friday and Saturday, 12-6. Feel free to email to confirm.”

Shannon Carey interviewed the Rohwers for Knox TN Today when they initially opened their studio. Read her story here.

Alan Sims recently profiled Chris and Robin for his website, “Inside of Knoxville.” Read his story here.

Chris and Robin have two daughters, both now adults. The family lives between Halls and Gibbs.

You can find Chris and Robin and their work on InstagramFacebook, and their website. Or stop in and welcome them to downtown. You might leave with some great art. They encourage people to email or message to confirm they are in the studio or “we may be off creating new work.”
