Chef Walter Lambert has died at age 87.
He is a fixture in Knoxville as WVLT-TV chef for 30 years. The station posted an outstanding tribute to Chef Walter here. His wife and comrade in cooking, Anne, passed away September 21, 2010, at age 82.
Food City posted a tribute online as well, saying, “He shared his delicious recipes with us for decades.”
I met Walter through his late brother David Lambert, a leader in the Halls Business & Professional Association. Walter was one-of-a-kind and will be missed.
