Officials from Pellissippi State Community College invite friends and East Knox neighbors to come to the Strawberry Plains Campus today (9/9/22) from 2-4 p.m. to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the campus.

The Pellissippi State bluegrass ensemble Hardin Valley Thunder will entertain and the open house will extend until 4 p.m. with refreshments.

The campus is home of the Appalachian Heritage Project. Also featured today will be the new library plus programs like nursing, cyber defense and welding. Knox County Schools Career Magnet Academy is located in separate facilities on the campus.

The Strawberry Plains Campus Library, including the Appalachian Heritage Project, were made possible in part through a National Endowment for the Humanities Infrastructure and Capacity Building Challenge Grant and the generosity of donors to the Pellissippi State Foundation. Mike North is dean of the Strawberry Plains Campus.
