Carolers sought for ‘Light the Park’

Sandra ClarkFarragut

The town of Farragut is looking for carolers to help welcome the holiday season by entertaining attendees at this year’s Light the Park, presented by TDS and hosted by Shop Farragut.

The kickoff is 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at Founders Park at Campbell Station. Every evening after that, through Monday, Jan. 1, the park will sparkle with 61,000 lights on trees and garlands.

Groups that would like to showcase their caroling skills can sign up for a time slot during Light the Park. No stage or speaker is provided; instead, performers are encouraged to sing while walking among the attendees or choose a stationary spot in the trees.

Groups, such as families, church choirs and school groups, as well as single performers, are encouraged to participate. The names of groups or individuals and scheduled times will be posted here.

Info: Lauren Cox at 218-3372 or lcox@townoffarragut.org.
