Biz club invites city candidates

Tom Murphy, senior resident fellow of the Urban Land Institute in Washington, D.C., will make a virtual presentation at 3 p.m. Monday, July 19. RSVP by emailing info@koellamoore.com.

KAT will be adding six electric buses to its fleet after receiving a $4.8 million federal grant, meaning KAT will be operating 18 electric buses on area routes by the end of 2022, with a goal of having the entire 71-bus fleet running on electricity in about eight years.

Powell: PBPA will meet today (7/13) at noon at Jubilee Banquet Facility, 6700 Jubilee Center Way. Lunch is $14. Mayor Glenn Jacobs will speak, and Chuck Severance with Pella Windows will give the two-minute business spotlight.

Fountain City: BPA will meet at noon Wednesday, July 14, at Beaver Brook Country. Invited speakers are all candidates for Knoxville City Council in the upcoming Aug. 31 primary. Go here for a list of candidates.

Halls: BPA will meet at noon Tuesday, July 20, at Beaver Brook Country Club.
