Bike Boat Brew & Bark your way to outdoor fun

Puppies and paddlers unite at the Bike Boat Brew & Bark event on Knoxville’s waterfront June 4. The day is packed with free activities for all ages and all levels and geared for the outdoor adventurer, dog lover, craft-beer enthusiast or anyone looking to discover new ways to play in Knoxville’s great outdoors.

The hub of activity is the Outdoor Knoxville Adventure Center at Volunteer Landing. The Knoxville Adventure Collective, located in the Adventure Center, will offer paddle board and kayak open sessions with instructors, discounted greenway and mountain-bike rentals and e-bike and disc-golf demos.

Historian Jack Neely will guide a Riverwalk Tour, Knoxville Urban Guy Alan Sims will lead a Downtown Knoxville Walk and I will lead a guided hike to Morningside Park. Various breweries will lead guided Brewery Slow Rides from their locations to the Knoxville Adventure Center.

Additionally, Bike Walk Knoxville will lead a guided urban bike ride from the UT Gardens. Volunteer Princess will have a Sightseeing Casino Cruise. Knoxville Cycleboats will host a BYOB river cruise, and Volunteer Landing Marina will be offering free pontoon-boat shuttles to Suttree Landing.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of FameJames White’s Fort and Blount Mansion will all offer free activitiesYoung-Williams Animal Center, Adopt a GoldenKnoxville Parks & Recreation and Visit Knoxville will have booths with information, activities and merchandise. Registration is required for some activities.
