The Central High School Marching Band competed in the Alcoa Marching Invitational, bringing home multiple trophies to show for their hard work and dedication this season.

Competing in Class 2A, the band earned 1st place band, 1st place percussion, 2nd place color guard, and a band rating of superior.

The band was 1.8 points away from grand champion of the smaller classes and made 2nd place band out of those 15 bands.

Katie Allison, mother of band member Charlotte Hickman, credits CHS band director Alex Mink. “Central’s fantastic band director is Alex Mink. He’s really brought these kids a long way this season.”
