Beaver Creek Flotilla is Saturday

Carol EvansGet Out & Play

Come on out tomorrow (5/20/23) for the sixth annual Beaver Creek Flotilla, presented by FirstBank.

John Becker and I did a practice run last week. The trail has been extended this year. We’ll still put in at Powell High Landing on Brickyard Road and take out at the Roy Arthur Stormwater Park on Harrell Road, adding about one hour to the float.

All the particulars are online at floatthebeaver.com/.

The Beaver Creek Kayak Club, along with Legacy Parks Foundation and Knox County Parks & Recreation, are asking for a $10 donation from participants this year and we have secured several business sponsors. Our goal is to establish public put-in/take-outs from Clayton Park in Halls to Melton Hill Lake. Funds raised through the flotilla will be used to fund these docks.

The flotilla gets bigger every year and more fun. Come and join us.

And don’t forget, find dozens of outdoor events close by at our website, https://outdoorknoxville.com/
